Knife crime

The deterrents don't work, they don't give a shit about the risks. Kids need hope and guidance, too many broken homes and drug dealers ready to recruit them. It is glamourised to fuck that lifestyle as well to impressionable kids unfortunately. Increasing prison sentences might help us feel better but it won't stop the root cause.

But it doesn't help the little darlings, they just keep doing it. It's better surely to just let themselves stab each other out and put up with a little collateral damage?

What is the chance of them being searched for a knife?

Must be close to 0%.

Doesn’t matter what the law is if they’re never caught.

What if someone attacks you with a knife, surely having your own means you get to stab them back ?
 
When I was young knife crime was practically non existent - now it’s an every day event and carrying a knife has somehow become more acceptable - especially among the younger generation.

The so called ‘snowflakes’ and ’wokes’ are probably carrying more knives than anybody else and if figures are to be believed are actually more likely to use them more than their parents or grandparents were.

I personally would never even think of carrying a knife outside of my own kitchen and when I’m out and about in Manchester never even suspect others of doing so.

How naive am I?

Bread knife
Boning knife
Filleting knife
Santoku
Then even potato peelers if this was being used as a murder weapon up and down the country

The law exists already it doesn’t matter what the weapon is
The law is possession of an offensive weapon which can be made adapted or intended for use
Therefore covers most object but you have to show its intended cause
 
More targeted stop and search, stiff prison sentences needed and ignore the idiots on social media who want it all ways claiming it’s not fair or racist to stop and search and then when kids get killed, do a 180 and claim the police are not doing enough.

Society attitudes to criminals and our police have to change.

As my old man used to say, if you’re doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear from the police and it’s stood me in good stead for 53 years.
 
Thank christ I never had kids..I wonder how many get stabbed today..

Spot on. I'd also love to see these chavvy scrotes, who are carrying knives, actually have a proper fist fight with someone who can look after themselves. They wouldn't last 60 seconds.

I’m not sure I’ve ever made a comment on stop and search on here.

There isn’t enough because we don’t have enough police to undertake it and when they do, they’ve not gone about it in the best way.

The bigger picture argument is to incorporate all these people back into society and make them feel part of it and wanted/needed. They don’t currently and don’t care about laws as a result.

Fuckin' 'ell I can almost hear the sound of crayons on the back of cornflakes packets as the shinfers and moaners form a line and display those banners that mean so much to them ;)
