Kodi (Bluemoon Build)

Just loaded kodi and the bluemoon build on to my new amazon 4K box. Took about 10 minutes to do and it was really easy. So much better than my android box. Its lighting fast and no buffering. Watching the Bayern Munich match in full HD on Fox Sports. Would definitely recommend a fire box to anyone

My Amazon Fire TV box was delivered Friday (Aguerooooos recommendation), only just had the chance yesterday to set it up! Exactly the same mate, full HD on Fox Sports, incredible quality and no buffering. That Agueroooooo bloke deserves a 'Services To Bluemoon' award at the end of the season I tell you! :)

Haha glad you like it mate ;)
whats the best channel for the game chaps
Difficult to say mate so long before the game but fox sports streams seem the best at the moment mate, I believe you can find these in phoenix, phoenix sports, Live TV

We are on fox sports 1 and BT sport's Europe tonight so I'd have a look for some decent streams for these channels mate

I'd usually post what streams are good but a few days on holiday my knowledge is already outdated haha :D

Note to self: Next time I visit @TCIB Towers and take my firestick so he can perform witchcraft. Don't forget the fucking remote control.

holding the home button on any firestick remote will sync it to any firestick in range, if TCIB has something so stoneage like a firestick himself....I rather fancy he plugs into all tech Robocop style

I've had XBMC then Kodi installed on a raspberry PI 2 for the past year or so. PITA to update, but generally works a treat.
I'm picking up a google chrome cast (the new version) tonight, mainly so we can 'smart' up a TV in our other room (so we can catch Netflix/BBC iPlayer if the other TV is in use).

Has anybody used the Google Chromecast for KODI? Just wondering about installing add ons etc (really easy on my Mac...not so easy on the Pi!)

Cheers.

Hmmm....same with the firestick?
I haven't looked into properly to be fair, so that ll go and do some homework.

Cheers.

As far as i know pal, you can only "cast" it to the chromecast (send the images from another device)

Sprout is right buddy; you can only cast stuff to Chromecast using an android device or an iOS device; you can't install any apps whatsoever on a cast

A firestick is different, you can install Kodi and many other apps and then use it with a remote control. However if you can afford the spare cash I highly recommend the fire TV 4k, much, much more powerful in comparison and also has an Ethernet connection which will give you better Wi-Fi speeds as well, it's also on sale now for £65 :)

That's a bummer.
Mind you, the main reason is for access to Netflix in the other room...to stop battles when certain shows clash (footy and that PLL show the kids watch) :)

Had a quick look at the Firestick 4k...and it does indeed look the dogs (although it would be a fair while before I upgrade to a blinking 4k set). Ethernet is always a bonus: I laid a few hundred metres of Cat6 when I renovated our house...but haven't managed to traverse up to the 'Node Zero' (loft) and terminate it all. Wi-Fi dropouts (even with a quick Virgin connection) are a pain in the arse.

I'm just back from picking the Chromecast up - the reviews do hold it in high regard, so it should be useful even as a stop gap...but without much research, I'm presuming using a remote app to control the likes of netflix it should be half decent (it's the latest model).

For those who know where to go, live feed is up :-)

Is this something I should know about Guy, or will it be well beyond my limited capabilities? If so I'm happy to stick with Agueroooo's fantastic provision.

cheers
