It's easy to crack networks if you know what you're doing, I agree with this statement though mate. You can't trust anyone lol

They may only connect late at night so you don't notice the bandwidth loss. Some routers show connected and has been connected. Not sure if sky's do this or not.

OK mate, have a quick check a couple of times a week to see if there's anything you don't recognise

ok......panic over....my eldest said he downloaded before he went away, which doesnt tally with the email date and time but thats who it seems it was.

now.....how about getting vpn onto my sky router , i cant see anything on the sky page , or my 2nd chaice would be to get it on my samsung smart tv , which again i have googled but it says i need to get the play store but my tv has apps already on it , not from the pay store! (if that makes sense)

You can customise how many characters you want mate, though a password manager in my opinion is the best way to manage passwords. Have one very secure memorable password and then allow your passsword manager to remember the rest
