Koeman to Everton

Its a step up for him, the expectations at Everton by the club and fans will be a good yard stick to how good he is as a manager. Plus his wages has probably doubled. Once he signs it will be reported that Stones Barkley and Lukaku are going nowhere.
I suppose the offer of a higher salary is hard to turn down (even if the guy probably has more money already than he'll ever spend). As for the three players you mention, Stones is criminally overvalued (£50m? Seriously?), and Barkley has had a poor/mediocre season. Lukaku has been good for them though. Still think there'd be "bigger" jobs going in the not too distant future; Barca, and the Dutch job to name two. Still; the new season will tell the tale.

If anything it just goes to show the lack of ambition at Southampton, they could match if not better any deal Everton could put together, they're by no means skint with the added bonus of European football next season. If i was a Saints fan i'd be fuming with the lack of ambition my club had shown over the last few years

Depends upon their own confidence in replacing Koeman. Fundamentally Southampton's power is in their own overall setup rather than one man, as they proven when Pochetino, Clyne, Lovren, Lallana, Shaw etc. moved on.

I also think it's worth baring in mind that we've no idea what kind or promises Moshri is making. If the figures are accurate and he's promising 100 million PLUS whatever is raised from the sale for Stones and Lukaku then it puts them in a totally different stratosphere to Southampton.

There's also talk of another player sell off by the club this summer - Wanyama - Long and Pelle earmarked for the summer sale. Maybe Koeman disagrees or got pissed off with this summer in summer out?

He was Everon's first choice once Martinez left. I couldn't see it happening though

A mate had £50 on at 8/1

I disagree, only last Friday the word at finch farm was Pellegrini was due to announced this week.

Southampton are a better team, plus Everton will lose their best two players in Lukaku and Stones.

Don't really understand the move from Koeman's perspective, must simply be the money. Can't imagine Koeman is short on money though?!
