I suppose the offer of a higher salary is hard to turn down (even if the guy probably has more money already than he'll ever spend). As for the three players you mention, Stones is criminally overvalued (£50m? Seriously?), and Barkley has had a poor/mediocre season. Lukaku has been good for them though. Still think there'd be "bigger" jobs going in the not too distant future; Barca, and the Dutch job to name two. Still; the new season will tell the tale.Its a step up for him, the expectations at Everton by the club and fans will be a good yard stick to how good he is as a manager. Plus his wages has probably doubled. Once he signs it will be reported that Stones Barkley and Lukaku are going nowhere.
