Koeman to Everton

And it turned out to be that he took over mate but I assure you that last Friday the staff at finch farm were under the impression Pellegrini was in the final stage of negotiations.

I said, Koeman was first choice, he was. As far as I'm concerned that is irrefutable, whatever the staff at the training ground thought had nothing to do with it

Pelligrini may have been a fall back if they didn't get the nod. But, Koeman was first choice. End of story

I don't want to come across as some sort of arrogant ITK on this board, but on this particular occasion I most certainly am

There's also talk of another player sell off by the club this summer - Wanyama - Long and Pelle earmarked for the summer sale. Maybe Koeman disagrees or got pissed off with this summer in summer out?
I think this is it. Pissed off with being Liverpool's academy last year and probably been good they are a selling club again this summer. This is the only explanation for what is otherwise very much a sideways move.

Forgive if I'm a bit off here but that wouldn't be too far from Goodison either would it?

some form of partnership/ agreement with the Peel company who are regenerating the dock area of liverpool 2. they currently own half of the NW so they would call all the shots. having been turned down for a few green belt suggestions, the docks seems our best option, crazy that we never saw the Kings Dock project through. probably end up renaming Goodison the San Giro at this rate !

Yes fucking please.
The comparison is there for all to see -

Takeover by supposed 'wealthy' owners , chopping and changing managers and letting their better players go.

Yes they may pick up for a short time but I think Everton's eventual decline is terminal.

my tip to be the dark horses next season and if they keep the players then a top 4 could be on the cards

i speak to many everton fans and they knew Koeman was on the cards for manager weeks ago and they have plans for big money signings and also a couple from man city could make the move in the next month and they have a big spending plans to build up everton in the next 5 years. they are doing kart wheels in stanley park and and see everton being the new man city and silverware is just around the corner

Ha, good one. They'll end up the same way as 95% of the clubs who are taken over, promised the world and end up going nowhere after an initial burst. Koeman would be a terrible choice of manager for a team that supposedly has a big budget and wants to challenge for trophies. I say big budget, but £100m if that is what they spend isn't really that much these days. They will need at least 6 players for that, so good luck.

Southampton are a better team, plus Everton will lose their best two players in Lukaku and Stones.

Don't really understand the move from Koeman's perspective, must simply be the money. Can't imagine Koeman is short on money though?!

I'm not sure why everyone is saying they will lose Stones and Lukaka, surely they would be wanting to build a team around their best players?

Lukaku is going for certain, possibly stones also. Can see Barkley staying and interesting to see who koeman will keep and let go. As before the main stumbling block to progress will be the stadium.
