Kolarov Leaving?

Well Milan are signing Taye Taiwo on a bosman so I can't really see them splashing out millions on another left back.

Of course he'll get another season, what nonsense.

I think you're ignoring two important details-

1) There's a snowman's chance in Hell that Kolarov reads BM or gives two shits what the fans think

2) Anything in the Daily Fail has any truth or relevance on what actually happens at the club.

Strange one is our AK, he was the summer signing that excited me the most, seeing as we haven't had a decent left back for a while plus him being touted as the "new Roberto Carlos". Supposedly he had it all - electric pace, deadly finishing, great defender etc etc.

The injury at Spuds has seriously fucked him up, I wonder whether with a full pre-season we may see the player we expected next season.

As it stands upon this season's performances, he will never make a top-grade left back in the prem - you have to be nimble like Evra, Cashley, Baines etc to succeed in this league.

we need to give him time. okay he hasn't been the player we all hoped he would be, but he didn't have a great start to the season - injured and out for a decent amount of time.

he has the right attitude to improve and that's what we need to be grateful for.

Well, the way most Bluemooners have been criticising him lately, I wouldn't blame him. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1371423/Aleksandar-Kolarov-Man-City-linked--12m-AC-Milan-transfer.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... nsfer.html</a>

Hope this isn't true, we didn't see a peep out of Valencia in the semi final the guy is quality, problem is because he doesn't run like sh*t off a shovel the numpties amongst our support somehow think he's sh*t.

Vargas who is touted in that player + cash deal seems more suited to the English game than Kolarov though. He's a bit older (27, will be 28 shortly after the start of next season) but is one of the best crossers of the ball from left-back I've seen. Still think Coentrao would be the ideal option but Vargas could do a good job if he doesn't succumb to the Manchester City Left-Back Curse(tm).

How is this any better than Kolarov? Neither have any pace.

Let's stop wasting money and time, just buy Jose Enrique and sort the position once and for all.

Kolarov reminds me of the type of fullback that would come down from Scotland 20 years ago with a great reputation. Almost all of them struggled to adjust the first year, playing against better players week in week out.
