Think he could prove key to our title chances, when on form he really does provide a threat on the left flank which nobody else does - and for a side lacking width this eez important.

Defensively Clichy any day of the week.

My head says Clichy, I know we are saver with him in the side. My heart says Kolarov, I know we are more likely to see something amazing with him in the side.

And because I mention it everytime I talk about Kolarov, I'd really like to see him in midfield where he has less defensive duties and can put more of his great passing skills to work.

He's shit in midfield, he only works at full back because he gets space overlapping

Overall including everything Clichy, a complete no brainer.

Against a team who's rubbish and don't go forward like Blackburn - Kolarov, doesn't have to worry about getting back. he can't defend and the little bit of defending he had to do i could of done.

Against a top side - Clichy, better at defending, also good going forward. main thing is he is quick and he can sprint back 50 yards if required. Decent crosser, but sometimes a let down. But goes forward that much and creates space, but he can pass the ball better than Kolarov imo.

I agree with all of this, Clichy is more defensively reliable than Kolarov, which is their main priority in the game.

Clichy hands down. I don't trust Kolarov as a defender TBH, but that is what they are there to do. Great having Kolarov on the bench for those free kicks and crosses if we are trailing at some stage.

Clichy s my Choice. Kolarov s inconsistent. But Kolarov shots are powerful and very good in Freekick's. But his inconsistency s a worry. Clichy s good in crosses and very consistent both in defense and as a defensive winger.
