Kolarov

Have people forgotten how Aleks owned Fani in the semi-final?

The diving Kung-fu artist didn't have a look-in that day.

Kolarov had a great game that day, as did the whole team, to be fair, and once we got through the first 20 minutes or so, we never looked like we were going to lose.
Diden´t Nani play on the left against Zabba? And I think it was Valencia on the right, Kolarovs left.

You may be right.

But my point was that he had a great game in the semi-final, whoever it was he was up against.

The earlier comment about free-kick taking was right on the money. We could really do with an expert in our regular eleven. All other things being equal it would surely be worth 3 or 4 extra goals a season - possibly crucial ones too.

Is his delivery that good? Rather, is it consistently good? I'm thinking back to his substitute appearance last Jan at home to Liverpool I'm the League Cup and...

You come up with one example of poor delivery from Kolarov as the basis to attack his dead-ball prowess?

YCMIU!

Yes, it is. Then again, I didn't ask if it is "consistently good relative to Clichy's" did I?

-- Thu Mar 14, 2013 10:01 pm --

That performance is in the back of my head as a "how not to cross a ball" display. Must have fucked up 3 or 4 deliveries in 20 minutes.

He's put in some excellent deliveries during his time here but has put in many stinkers too.

Well seeing as its a tactic we regularly use I thought it might be relevant. Seeing as you seem to be questioning his ability

Didn't Džeko score from one of his 'poor' deliveries in that same game?
