Kolo Toure attacks City

not best pleased with you after last night, you didn't live up to expectations apparently.

She shouldn't be collecting her pay and complaining at the same time. Much like Kolo.

Mancini on SSN ......."I spoke to Kolo yesterday and he says he never said these things,he dos`nt know where they came from"

some of you never learn

If he didn't say it then presumably he will sue the magazine for misquoting him. If he doesn't then it is entirely plausible that he made the comments in haste and is now regretting it.

He said them alright.

Typical hiding behind a foreign interview.

SoFoot are respected enough for Kolo to have agreed an interview in the first place.

Newspapers never make up on the record quotes, not worth the legal ramifications.

Players then backtrack and state they never meant it to be interpreted this way.

Bollocks, if it was Tevez saying something, there would no apologists.

Kolo is a disgrace.

Back to my point about the club's need to control communication with the media.

These are all young lads and some of them not the smartest knives in the block. All the more reason to have a tightly controlled media communication policy. Contracts should explicitly bar players from talking to the press unless formally authorised by the club to do so, and then in presence of some media-savvy City employee. There should be stiff penalties (loss of wages) for any breaches.

We really should put our foot down to stamp this out. It would not be tolerated in any other professionally run large organisation.

I know of several instances in the last 12 months where So Foot have made up quotes which were either not said at all, or said "off the record" so to speak, only for said quotes to find themselves into print. I also have a very good friend who is a journalist at So Foot, so I think my "source" is pretty accurate.

I know you do;)

My statement was with regards the British press making up quotes.

They don't. They have ripped off the magazine article and once in the public domain, Toure has to go to the originator.

I don't believe Kolo on this one. He has been agitating for weeks since we fined him six weeks.

He also spoke recently about wanting to join PSG.

Even if he spoke 'off the record' he should know better if he did not trust the interviewer.

A famous baconface quote "No player is bigger than the club." Well, many of our players think they are. That's the difference in a nutshell.
So right. To ensure it is so, with the kind of squad we have today, is why we need a world-class manager - a leader. You have impressed me so far, Manchini. Time to step up again.

It's an open secret in Paris that he desperately wants to come here. He will start every week and will probably be a huge asset to them as Sakho is still a bit of a liability and Lugano has been hit and miss. He'd bring the kind of experience they desperately need.

I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. We don't need him, and it's clear that Mancini doesn't see him as being a regular starter - plus Paris have big money so we'll get a decent fee for him. Good move all round.

I bet you anything he made the Savic comment off the record... players say shit like that all the time as you well know!

But it's not true, we don't discriminate against African players.

It isn't the medias fault, it's yet another millionaire gobshite going public against the club and a fellow team mate.
i know they may have said "discriminate" but c`mon out of context as such. it s not a racist angle we are talking about, it s the fact that key "african" players will vanish (to compete in ACON) during the most important part of the season **right about now to end of Jan`.

if he s wrong .... how many africans were bought in the last two years by top clubs?
ans: sweet f.a.

it s a hindrance and he is right, but that is my opinion!
i love kolo!!!!!
ACON needs to be changed i blame the governing football bodies for this...no one else!!!

The ACON has changed its on summer of 2013 and then becomes a summer tournament, still every 2 years though

Kolo = clown though so really dont care what he does but 120k a week reserve defender is very pointless

I Don't Believe this??

Or is it normal to believe everything we read in newspapers now?

until I see Video evidence of Kolo actually saying this then it is Sensationalism.

ACON have every right to decide when is best for "Their" tournament, after all who can point fingers when FIFA have selected Qatar in the peak heat of summer and UEFA keep giving the tournament to two countries.
Yes I'm out of my mind on pain killers, now where's that chain saw?
