Kolo Toure [Merged]

I'm actually not going to slag Ant off. That is his opinion and I respect it but I disagree entirely with it.

All I will say is that time will tell and that there is no point getting on his back already before he has signed and before he has played in a blue shirt. He's more than welcome @ the club in my opinion. Lets face it though, whether you like it or not, Kolo Toure will be a Manchester City player by the end of the week or at the latest the start of next week.

I don't think it will take longer than this week. Most likely he is set to undergo a medical today according to reports. So I would guess he will be a City player before Friday.

More negative spin!

Are these stats available for free anywhere?

City agree £14m Toure deal

KOLO Toure will arrive in Manchester today to complete his £14m move to City from Arsenal.

The Ivory Coast international left the Gunners' training camp in Austria on Tuesday to head back to London after the clubs are understood to have agreed a fee.

The move will take the Blues' summer spending spree beyond the £90m mark, and sources at City suggest that the revamp is not yet finished.

The player has yet to finalise the details of his personal terms, but no problem is expected and Toure should complete his medical later today and be officially announced as the Blues' latest signing on Thursday. Toure has been a target since the transfer window in January, and was not a second choice after the failure to land John Terry.

But he is likely to miss a month of the season, along with Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor, for the Africa Cup of Nations from January 10-31 next year.

City will then turn their full attention towards breaking through the stalemate with Everton over the signing of Joleon Lescott.

The Blues have made a £15m bid, but Everton want at least £5m more and are expected to ask for Nedum Onuoha as part of the deal.

The Blues are also looking to recoup some of their outlay, although Italian reports of AC Milan's interest in Elano appear to have been wide of the mark - although Inter Milan and Panathinaikos have been tracking the Brazil international.

More negative spin indeed from Shite psorts news who seem every time we are in teh news dig up some pathetic stats to somehow make us look bad.The Owen vs our new strikers pre season scoring stats being a fine example. He was getting over Malaria FFS in an Arsenal team that wasn`t exactly firing on all cylinders and lacking in midfield.Lets see his stats from the season they went unbeaten??Wankers!

because they went unbeated 5 years ago, those stats are irrelevant

Stupid Sky Sports Stats again,! Toure was out injured a good lot of last season, And his relationship with Gallas didnt help him at Arsenal either, Am sure that had a big effect on his performances, Toure is a top defender, great business for £14-£16m.
