Not excessively, he's a proven Premiership centre half, he's won trophies at the highest level, he's not ridiculously old (especially for a centre half), he's got European experience. Terry for £35m was expensive, Toure for £16m isn't.

We already have the bone breaker DM in De Jong, you'll see this year. People seem to forget when he came to us he was coming off a bad knee injury and wasn't 100% fit. Just look at the Anfield game for a glimpse of what he is capable of.
