Kolo Toure [Merged]

my mate is a gooners season ticket holder and has been for 35 years and he is gutted at the departure of both ade and kolo, even suggesting that kolo is the best centre back they have, although he did say he's not a leader and would need a captain figure beside him.

just put that ant twat on my foe list, it felt so good! im not telling anyone what to do but . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .do it! i like different opinions when people have the the grace wit and understanding to let other opinions be heard. but the way he's obnoxious with his "facts" (opinions) has really pissed me off the last few days, suddenly bluemoon is alot more appealable again,

if he's not a mole, he is a very confused little boy, whose mummy probably told him he was special, and never corrected him when he talked out of his arse. so the rest of the world's opinions cannot be as important as his.

Some on here have not been City supporters very long
Know nothing about football
Have never seen City play
OR Are just so stupid it is untrue if they think Kolo is not good enough for City at this stage of our redevelopment
some of our fellow blues are the type with the attitude that i despise in other clubs the money has gone to there heads some should be made to sit and watch some of our old vids and see some real bad players and quit there
FUKIN WHINGING before the season even starts i really do wonder if they older than 10and would hate to sit next to some on match day so lets give our team a chance before slagging them off or go and support the rags they understand your type at the swamp
 
One of the biggest disappointments last season was the form of Richards

Hopefuly he will get a good pre-season behind him and work really hard to get in the team. He has every incentive because he has some quality players waiting to take his shirt

Hopefully the competition will get the best out of him. I think his game was badly affected by injury last season. He had one injury niggle after another (compartment syndrome was one) and eventaully I think it took its toll. He was just that little bit short, but he came back well towards the end of the season.

He has a huge incentive of winning his England spot back with the World Cup around the corner.

We have got cover in their as well personally I think Zabs is a better player at right back and Nedum as well.

Look at it this way, worse case we end up with Toure and Upson, Keep Dunne and Nedum and we have Kompany now for defence as we have cover in midfield.

So we have replaced Ben Haim And Bertie with Toure and Upson - Worst case. Maybe we get Lescott, Upson and Toure ! Keeping in mind the stated objective for this season is top 6 NOT TOP 4.

Who challenging for those spots have better players in central defence than us ? I would love to see someone argue Everton, Spurs and Villa have better cover overall I really would.

I was mostly thinking about Bruno Alves to partner Toure, he is the leader and take-no-prisoner type of defender who can organize our back four, his heading is superb which is what we need at the back. A goal-scoring centre-half (scores both with his head on set plays and strong free kicks). In addition to Alves, I'd like us to get Srna for our right back, as we are substantially weaker than our rivals on that position. I see Zab as a midfielder, and Micah has huge potential, but his ball playing and positional sense isn't good enough if we want to compete. So Srna with his magnificent play down the right, a clever player, great stamina and excellent crossing will give Ade and RSC the service they need and Tevez the chance to drift inwards which he likes. A box-to-box midfielder is more difficult. But I'd like to see Fernando from Porto join up. He can play DM and CM.

So Gallas is shit as well then |? I am sure SSN explained this ?

Actually looking at the stats for all of Arsenals defenders Toure is rated at 6.4 thats the joint highest of any of their players (Gallas is only 6.2)

Must admit that I don't subscribe to the SSN bias paranoia, but I had to chuckle at the stat they posted the other day comparing our new forwards pre season against Michael Owen's. So far pre season RSC, Tevez & Ade have scored 0 goals against Michael Owen's 4. No mention of the fact that RSC & Tevez haven't even played yet, whilst Adebayor joined us mid tour and played only one game after scarcely having time to get to know his new team mates. No wonder some on here get paranoid, but I just find it amusing.
