Sorry if this has already been posted, but great news!!!
MANCHESTER CITY have agreed personal terms with Arsenal defender Kolo Toure as the Premier League’s most affluent football club continue their assault on the English transfer market. City expect to sign Toure, Joleon Lescott and John Terry by the end of August for combined fees of around £100m.

Occasional Arsenal captain Toure has been seduced by City’s standard double-your-money offer and following a season in which he was not consistently Arsene Wenger’s first choice should be sold for around £15m. The Arab-financed club have offered Everton £20m plus England under-21 international Nedum Onuoha for Lescott, who has been attracted by the prospect of starting in his preferred central defensive position.

Hope so, hope terry and lescott do too. But that's 3 centre backs so will Lescott be a left back?

I think bridge is already a class in our left back.. And he seems to be getting better and better.. Though the chance of terry coming is very small... I still hope those three will sign for us... Why don't sparky try to sign hangeland?? I thought that he is highly rated...

hangeland is a good defender, but the other three have got special things about them. Toure is fast and comfortable on the ball, Lescott is left footed, can cover at left back and score goals, and Terry is the best leader out there. agree about bridge, he looks good, should do well this season.

I guess it's true.. Hope in the next two weeks, they'll come.. How about our right back? I still think that micah is still unstable(referring to his fitness level), and zabba is not to good as he is not a pure right back.. Do we need to strengthen that part of the team??

Yes, I think so. I think we should consider Zab as a midfielder. He is really playing out of position as right back. His style is defensive midfielder. I think a right back is more needed than a third central defender. So, Darijo Srna for me ahead of a third central defender. Ideally, we need a midfield general to lessen our dependence on Barry and Ireland too, but 2 central defenders and a right back should be the priority, with a midfielder and a third central defender as bonus.

Yep.. Srna is perfect.. Lemme say.. I guess the most likely arrivals, will be Toure, and Lescott... And if Toure can't be lured, then Hangeland comes to our priority... If city can afford to sign a midfielder, which they definitely can.. I would suggest javi martinez.. as he is young, talented, and skilled...

I'm not entirely convinced by Toure. Sure hes a great defender but hes just not what City need. City need a commanding CB much like Vidic who commands the back-line and wins every single header. I would much rather see Ned start at CB rather then Toure. (Awaits to get slated)
