However, his performances in the last 2 months siginificantly improved IMO. That is one of the reasons Arsenal finished 4th.

He single handedly along with almunia kept arsenal in the first leg of the champs league match against the rags, constantly keeping rooney out of the game.

this.
he was outstanding at the swamp.
didnt see the 2nd leg

I dont know what peoples relationships are like with their siblings but its fair to say they normally have the inside track......

Its not really a question of rating. In his prime I would have loved Toure at city but hes getting on a bit and you never really recover from Malaria. For a professional athelete its a big problem. Plus you loose him for the africans nations cup. Add in his brother saying "HE wont take such a big step down at this stage of his career" Do you want me to be happy with that ?

As for Terry he would be a brilliant signing BUT rumoured £1 million a month wages, £40 million he is 29, his back is fucked. With this in mind I am not bothered if that deal doesnt happen either.

Overall In my opinion we could get younger, hungrier players, without the injury problems that can perform at the same sort of level and cost less in terms of transfer fees and wages.

Its not a question of money no object its getting players who actually want to play for us and can do so at the highest level.
you make good points but i disagree where you say we could get younger hungrier players! i think we need a 28-30yr old top top quality centre back, our defence is cryin out for experience and organisation, youth wise we have ned and micah, plus kompany at 24, zab at 25 are hardly old, the problem is those 28-30yr old centre backs of the ilk we require are very few and far between

both jt and kolo are 28 and they say a footballers prime is 28-31 so it would be ideal they are both solid center halfs with exspierience at the highest level off the game. And its not your money payin for him and payin there wages and i would rather have have ned learning from these 2 so he can be are star for the future

i do know you can make a complete recovery from Malaria.

You never make a full recovery from Malaria. Unless you are going to tell me you specalise in tropical diseases.....

Of course you can fully recover from malaria. Most people do if they are properly treated.

9.22 Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has urged new club Manchester City to stage another raid on Emirates Stadium in order to sign Kolo Toure.

Toure is imo one of the best centre backs in the world and has a ton of cp and epl experience which is what hughes i think is looking for! In my opinion i think on of the main reason he had a "poor" season last year was his recovery from illness plus he was in and out of the first team on a weekly bases! Towards the end of the season he got a decent run and the gunners defence went from as bad as ours to better then the rags! The main problem i have signing him is the ACON!

I hope we sign Toure as he's a great player, like you though i hope we limit our buys of African players as the African Nations Cup is a pain in the arse, held as it is right in the middle of the European season.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but great news!!!
MANCHESTER CITY have agreed personal terms with Arsenal defender Kolo Toure as the Premier League’s most affluent football club continue their assault on the English transfer market. City expect to sign Toure, Joleon Lescott and John Terry by the end of August for combined fees of around £100m.

Occasional Arsenal captain Toure has been seduced by City’s standard double-your-money offer and following a season in which he was not consistently Arsene Wenger’s first choice should be sold for around £15m. The Arab-financed club have offered Everton £20m plus England under-21 international Nedum Onuoha for Lescott, who has been attracted by the prospect of starting in his preferred central defensive position.
