Kolo Toure

I`m sure some of the ITK`s were saying this was a done deal, at start of month.

Along with Mr Tevez who we know is now a blue.

I think the Tevez poster is quality, but a rag pointed out to me today, he`s actually celebrating

a goal which helped the scum win league ?

But you could say that about any of his goals!

Forget his brother, look at him on his own merits. He's clearly a good player.

Okay, he's had an average 18 months. How much of that is an irreversible decline, how much of that is the aftermath of malaria, how much of that was due to playing alongside the walking disaster that is Gallas? My god, I will never forget Gallas's first ten minutes vs the rags when they got tonked. The most complacent, arrogant, down right stupid display I can ever remember seeing from a top flight defender.

Apparently Touré has been isolated at arsenal, along with Adebayor and Eboue. Maybe a return here would see the old Toure return? Even at his current level, he's better than Richards and Dunne, but not so long ago this lad was amongst the top 4 defenders in the league. Very pacy, very powerful, very comfortable on the ball, and always where he was needed. It's got to be worth a shot. Plus, he can do a very good job at right back when needed.

totally agree with that, think he's a quality player and definatley wouldn't say no to him at City
My sentiments exactly!!!

The poster was a brilliant dig but they should really have chose another picture other than that particular goal in my opinion.

Fuck him. Didnt want him at city any way with his form over the last season or so.

That was his brother speaking. The player was reportedly close to handing in a transfer request last season, and his brother acknowledges there are problems.

Don't forget Yaya Toure has also been strongly linked to Arsenal.

If Arsenal accepted abid from City, what would Toure do? Probably the same thing as Adebayor.

some fans don't rate Terry or Toure? Who do they rate?

I dont know what peoples relationships are like with their siblings but its fair to say they normally have the inside track......

Its not really a question of rating. In his prime I would have loved Toure at city but hes getting on a bit and you never really recover from Malaria. For a professional athelete its a big problem. Plus you loose him for the africans nations cup. Add in his brother saying "HE wont take such a big step down at this stage of his career" Do you want me to be happy with that ?

As for Terry he would be a brilliant signing BUT rumoured £1 million a month wages, £40 million he is 29, his back is fucked. With this in mind I am not bothered if that deal doesnt happen either.

Overall In my opinion we could get younger, hungrier players, without the injury problems that can perform at the same sort of level and cost less in terms of transfer fees and wages.

Its not a question of money no object its getting players who actually want to play for us and can do so at the highest level.

i dont think that article is to damaging towards us, granted he obviousley speaks to kolo so knows his thoughts but the article was more about what yaya thinks rather than what he knows, it sounded more like yaya was giving his own reasons why kolo wouldn't join us not kolos reasons! i dont no maybe im tryin to be to positive, but the defence is really starting to worry me, i was cryin out 4 us to sign a centre back in january!!!
