He was wank at Anfield. Looked like a fat arsed, headless chicken.

He was actually ok at Anfield and matched Sterling for pace when he tried to run free. its also funny how people assume hes fat just coz he tucks his shirt in!

People assume he's fat because his arse is huge. To be fair though, he played well again today, as did lescott.
I know thats what i mean his shirt is tucked in so his fat arse is more obvious haha most have there shirts untucked so str8 away it gives Kolo a look of being the fat guy

i hope he gets a 1 year contract extension after this season, great squad player to have
I can't see it.

It would make a lot more sense financially to let Kolo leave and sell Lescott and replace with Rekik and another talented CB like Nastasic.

He has done well in the games he has come in though apart from cup game v Villa.

how would signing a new centre back for £10m+ make more financial sense than giving kolo a further year on his contract?

Because he will then have to be replaced a year later after we have spent another 5.2m on wages. (100k a week)

If both Lescott and Kolo leave we will save around 200k?

Rekik is already here and I guess his new contract is sub 15k?

We buy another defender for around 10m and on say 80k a week like Nastaisc and we have saved 105k a week in wages straight away and got two talented CB's in to lower the squad age and may grow into world class defenders making their fees irrelevant.

I will be very surprised if he is still here next season.

i would like the think that he would accept a much lower wage, as he won't exactly get 100k anywhere else will he?

i would like to keep lescott and kolo for now but unlikely that that will happen. my only concern about getting rid of both (and signing another youngster) would be that our centre backs would be aged 26, 19, 17 and then probably 19 or 20 again, and theres not a lot of experience there.

If Kolo is content being Kompany's backup and being a Carling and FA Cup player then I say give him a 12 month extension. Keeps his brother happy having him around as well of course.

Yes, I agree that kolo has been playing well. He is always committed to the cause and gives 100% when asked to play. I would offer him a contract extention on reduced wages but it looks like he will play abroad probably in the middle east.

He should really look for another club as he will not get a starting place at City which I think he is after.

In general, he is very good against footballing teams. So I was nervous after about 5 mins of the Newcastle game. However, he did well, so fair lay to him. I wouldn't like to see him start against Norwich when they will be launching the ball in to the box from the wing throughout the game, or against the likes of Stoke and West Ham. Saying that, I would feel confident playing him against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham, and Spurs.
