Manchester City will make a £12 million bid for Kolo Touré, the Arsenal defender, now that the North London club have concluded the signing of Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax.

City tried to sign Touré in January, but while Arsène Wenger was loath to lose the defender in mid-season, the manager has accepted that Touré wants to leave and would rather sell now than lose him for nothing when his contract expires next summer.

Times online lead with this story tomorrow!!!

Maybe richards might go to arsenal!? Lescott and toure come in neds goes to right back with kompany as cover for centre back and zabs as cover for right back.

Just my thoughts although i'd prefer to keep micah.

id rather have zabbs at right back than richards and ned

Mate i love zabba but his pace let's him down in that position for me.

I have liked Kolo Toure for a long time, and this is one signing, probably on a par with Eto'o that I really hope comes to fruition.

He would be a great addition to the squad offering stability and an air of calm to the back 4. Plus he can't half hit that ball ;)

At least ZAbs and Ned would attempt to track back - Richards hasnt been interested in that part of the full back roll lately

Would be gutted if Richards was to go.
Can't see the logic behind letting a promising young english defender who has already had one quality season go.
In SIX YEARS!! when he has had more time to develop he could very easily be a top defender approaching his prime. Would be appauled to let him got for 5-10 million.

Would still love to have toure, but without losing Richards. Toure is a well expierenced defender who never seems to make a fuss and would be a great addition to the squard for his experience if nothing else.
