not disputing de niro's info and thanks to him for posting it however if its thought about logically why would kompany travel to liverpool and now be receiving extensive treatment when hours earlyer he was probably at the best place in the country to receive the treatment it would have made sense to have treated him in manchester then if the doctor said he could play he would have traveld over in the morning, the fact that he has got on the bus would sugest he's got a very good chance of playing, my opinion just a minor knock or mind games

There's a lot of sense in there BRO (:

Huge blow if he is out, but it's idiotic to blame Richards, or Pellegrini for practicing set pieces the day before. It's just an unfortunate accident.

No it's not.

There's absolutely no need to practice high impact training/set pieces the day before a match, regardless if it was an accident or not. Once Firday's practice sessions were over, it should have been left at that.

Light training, stretching, and go through tactics again. Job done. Then off to Liverpool.

It was idiotic to do what they did this Morning, on the eve of the most important game of the season so far.

So with all their professional resources and expertise, you're saying City's staff haven't a clue how to plan training sessions? Hmm.

And you know this from your extensive professional football management experience about how to prepare for a game and have the best record in both defending from, and scoring from set plays in the league.

Re: Kompany Injured?

Whether or not the skipper plays tomorrow hardly necessitates the surrender mentality of some on here. It's not ideal certainly but there's more than one way to skin a cat. Surely a manager at the top level can make the necessary tactical adjustment to compensate for the absence of Vinny (if and that's a big if he is out tomorrow). Far worse teams than ours can set themselves up to be hard to beat. Anyway fuck all anyone on here can do about it. Just go out have a few beers ,the optimism will soon return.

At last, sense.

Yep.

We really do have some proper wombles on this forum.

As if we are fucked without him,why do some talk so much shit !
Exactly....there really is some needy cunts on here, we will go there tomorrow with or without Kompany, and still be more than a match for the scousers,

stop the flapping for fucks sake, it may even work out that we are not as adventurous as we have been meaning we are more solid than usual, the game will be won and lost in the middle of the park, which is where we happen to be the strongest team in the league, add to that the returning Aguero and we are more than capable of getting something wether Kompany plays or not

As it happens My gut feeling is he will play, if he was as badly injured as we are being led to believe by some on here the last place he would be is with the team, he would be having a scan to see just how bad the injury is or isn't

If he's only 50% fit tomorrow we should just give him a cortisone injection and get him out there. This game is the most important the other games we could probably get by without him but against Liverpool's attack we need him badly.
Up to now I hadn't realised we're a one-man team but it all becomes clear on this thread. Why risk Vinny tomorrow if he's only 50% fit, that would probably mean him missing the rest of the season.

Tomorrow IS the rest of the season. Liverpool are on a mission like we were with 5 games to go in 2012. We knew we had some tough games like rags away and newcastke away, but victory was in sight and we were locked on. Liverpool will win it unless we stop them tomorrow, I am convinced of it.

If we can't cope with the loss of one player - whoever it is - then we aren't good enough to be champions anyway.

Re: Kompany Injured?

Some of you have lost the plot, he will play tomorrow. It's the equivalent of banging your leg on something. If it was a proper injury he wouldn't be traveling with the team he'd be in hospital. They'll just have ice on it tonight and he'll be fine tomorrow otherwise he would of been ruled out the game to begin with.

Devil's advocate, he might be crocked with no chance of playing but we want to keep Brenda guessing until the last moment.

As it stands at the moment - and seeing him being more or less carried off - i will now be staggered if he's playing.

We are just going to have to man up and get on with it. Lescott and MDM can be decent and we need Aguero and co to put their chances away first time, not after missing four or five sitters first. Defend resolutely, take our chances and we can still win this.

Re: Kompany Injured?

Woah!

jrb is seriously telling an elite Premier League football club how they should be managing their training sessions?

Proper cringe.
