Kompany red card and appeal SUCCESSFUL

Excellent news for Captain Courageous and justice was seen to be done.

This bodes well for the rest of the season. It will give all the lads a mighty lift.

Great news for us but actually more importantly for the game of football in general because if that tackle is deemed to be serious foul play endangering safety of another player then, as the scottish prick Hansen said, we might as well call it a fucking day coz the game as we knew it would quite definitely be finished !

Common sense at last from the much maligned panel has prevailed cant wait to hear that bitter rag Irani and pisscan Brazil in the morning hahaha brilliant !

Fair play to Mike Dean aswell coz he must have admitted that given all the other angles the tackle was seen from his initial, slightly obstructed and therfore understandable, decision was incorrect ! Faith slightly restored in the powers that be .

Keown says vinnie needs to adjust his technique, god these guys are so blinkered and biased that anyone with half a brain cell could see through them, like redknapp junior making the statement it was a bad tackle and he will surely be banned for this, why didn't the spoilt tosspot say please ban him because daddy needs him out?

Just remind me who Keown used to play for ????

One thing strikes me about this whole affair.

The person in the very best position to comment on what was obviously a good tackle never said a word.....yes....Mr. Wiltshire himself......what a little s***. At least he could have come out after the game and supported Kompany as nearly all the other players and pundits did.
I don't think that's fair on Wilshere. I don't think I've ever known of a player to hold his hands up and say that he was tackled fairly after a player has been sent off; especially less than a week after the incident.

Wilshere might be a little shit that beats up people outside of nightclubs, but you can't expect him to come out in defence of Kompany. You have to remember that footballers can only talk when a reporter or microphone is nearby.
Bob....I have seen a few players, after they have been tackled, jump up and defend the player if they did not think it was a bad tackle. I know it is rare as most players do their utmost to get their opposition players sent off. Anyway, it worked out well in the end.

Right decision but jeez I'm surprised!

Me too ......

but maybe the FA thought back to our game at Norwich when Nasri got his marching orders after that strong tackle by Bassong , which wasn't that disimilar to Kompanys ...... and Bassong STAYED on the pitch .

They were probably impressed that we didn't contest Nasris sending off too , as everybody expected City too , and may have decided , with our injuries , suspensions and all our other problems , to give us the benefit of the doubt over Kompanys challenge.

Bless their cotton socks ..... aren't they wonderful ??

Given the view he had i can see why the ref may have thought it was 2 footed.
