Kompany red card merged threads

The mistake was he looked at the ref when he was fouled. Stopped for about half a second, while Jelavic just watched the ball and got advantage while Kompany hoped for a freekick for us. It really was less than a second but it cost him, in a position like this last CB vs last striker you cant stop and only continue the action if you hear no whistle.

After that it was clear that its a red, Kompany knew that what he is doing is a red there. Dont know tho what is better keep 11 people and go behind 1-0 or keep it 0-0 but 10 man down. As it was early in the game probably should let him go and maybe Hart saves it. (Or he gets a red.:D)

Problem is our players get into this situation way too much, one on one and already behind somehow and under pressure they are making big mistakes.
Wigan Demichelis, Barca Demichelis, now this, or the goal Sunderland scored in the final by Borini.

The defensive system must be responsible too not just individuls of course they make the mistakes.

Opponents are targeting our CB's big time, under pressure they just dont get it right as much as they should.

fair enough vinny cocked up, but the real villain was mason who happily ignored the foul on vinny, but had no hesitation in sending him off, I am curious as to how he interpreted each decision, and how one was a foul and one wasn't.

On a positive note on what's happened today is that he will be fully rested for the rags game and no chance of him getting injured or red carded in the fulham game.

Sounds good but Garcia's shit pass when moving the ball forward was the way ultimately caused the. Issue.

Kompany had more than enough time to get rid of the ball. Stop trying to turn it on Garcia.

He dawdled on the ball and got caught though how it isn't a foul when the forward is all over him and shoves him down with an arm around his neck is beyond me.I then think he lost it a bit.You can see he looks at Mason as if to say,''Oh ok then the rough stuff is ok!'' tugs and pulls at the forward and makes Masons job easy after that.
