I find it interesting that you would just take fergies word for it and then question what Vincent has said. ?

Where did I question what Vincent had said? On the contrary, I fully accepted what Vincent had said. And in the absence of any evidence to the contrary, I have to accept what Fergie said

(I think I may have accidentally somehow PM'd you with this as well, Bob, just ignore my cack-handedness)

So Ferdinand was the only player in the country who hadn't heard his manager all over Skysports all day proclaimimg that all his players would be wearing the t-shirt? Nobody bothered to tell him? What a steaming pile of shite. Ferguson fucked up by assuming a proclamation from him was all it would take to make all his players tow the line. Then he fucked up again when he pronounced that Ferdinand would be 'dealt with'. Then he backed down when he realised that Ferdinand had the full backing of his union with his stance. Miscommunication my arse. Ferdinand called Ferguson's bluff, and Ferguson had a shit hand.

Ryan Giggs' many and varied off field adventures got very little mention in the MEN for weeks afterwards, even when it was all over the nationals. Compare that to the stalking of Balotelli any time he sets foot in the city centre.
Mike Keegan is responsible for some of the worst nonsense. The 'new' kit that was on here for weeks beforehand. The conman trying to sell plots of his land to gullible United fans to 'stop the campus development'. Any idiot blue with a trivial, imagined grievance against the club.
What on earth was that 'Mancini has got a hairdryer' rubbish the other day all about, if not an attempt at a snide dig?

@MENnewsdesk: In tomorrow' s MEN columnist Andy Mitten profiles City's new director of football Txiki Begiristain ,oh dear .

The Giggs story was avoided as we don't do those kind of stories - we have also ignored kiss and tell stuff on City players.
When did we ever stalk Balotelli?

On Keegan's stories, what is the problem with the kit story, whether it had been on BM or not?
The conman story was a good one, perfectly accurate, and interesting.
We also do stories on idiot reds with a grievance against their club
The hairdryer story was a bit of fun, given that Fergie has a different kind of hairdryer. Lighten up a bit!

Strangely, none of the stories you flagged up resulted in a complaint from the club.

You seem to be suggesting that any story which might, even vaguely, portray City in a negative fashion, should be ignored or censored. We are not Pravda, nor the club website.

-- Tue Oct 30, 2012 9:23 pm --

Andy is based in Barcelona and has interviewed Begiristain, as well as knowing people at Barcelona who know him intimately.

I have replied to your PM Stuart but its rather long winded, you might need popcorn and a brew.

I assume, in the interests of impartial and cutting edge journalism, the MEN will be asking the editor of a City fanzine to write an article on David Gill's conflict of interest arising from his roles as United's CEO, Vice Chairman of the FA, and nominated FA representative on the UEFA executive committee. The more so as both the FA and UEFA are driving through or have driven through "Fair play" rules the sole achievement of which which is to hobble any competition to Manchester United. Then again, maybe not.
