And that's why Mancini was an idiot to go public with this spat

It wasn't a spat until it got to bluemoon.

Mancini said the VK was in the wrong, and moved on. Was very complimentary about him in the post match interview that the Belgian thing was only a tiny part of.

Siding with the player over the manager is not good in isolated incidents but when half the squad seems to have been upset or angered by the manager in some way you begin to think there is more to it, which is when the men above Mancini (even though he will tell you Begiristain and Soriano are not above him) have to step in and assess whether the manager has the leadership skills to take his players any further. Txiki is used to working with reasonable guys who are popular with their players like Rijkaard and Pep, not with an autocratic manager who treats his players like soldiers in the Soviet Armed Forces.

There aren't too many non-autocratic managers who win the trophies. One particularly autocratic manager is winning far more than his fair share, and he certainly wouldn't put up with any 'Technical Director' nonsense.

So you are saying that Mancini is autocratic?

The Mancini outers just get so excited at anything anti Mancini that it doesn't even need to be true anymore.

I'm not a Mancini "outer" (although am starting to lean more that way from the fence I'm on) but it gets really tiresome when anything questioning Mancini in the media is instantly dismissed as false. If you believed some people on here, Mancini has never argued with a player. If this had appeared in The Sun I'd probably dismiss it too, but people are completely ignoring the good reputation this newspaper has because it suits them. Nevermind that Mancini and Kompany completely blanked each other before our very eyes and Mancini then said "Vinny knows his behaviour was not good", all is sound between them and it's just Mancini outers and the rag press at work.
The enormous fucking irony is that none of this would have happened if Mancini hasn't opened his trap yet again on a press conference. He will never ever learn. Never. He's like a petulant child.
Irony at its finest and I don't mean Mancini !

LoveCity seems to imply it. All I can add is that Ferguson certainly is.

Am I right in saying that british media haven't picked up on this as yet?

Strange if that's the case, not normally this slow.

Fuck me, moomba.

You missed the back page headlines last Friday and Saturday, the on field mutual snub and the retaliatory story in belgium's biggest paper then.

It's all just bluemoon.

It does make you wonder why none of the main outlets have gone with this, yet. Maybe there PM'ing members of the board for source material?

I've no doubt that this will be used for the build up to the Derby. Not in a good way of course.
