Kompany

Muscle Pulls are quite commonly a sign of overtraining.
Someone at the club needs to take note and while they are at it keep Micah out of the gym - he is too fookin big.

been saying that about Richards for a while, he seems to have sacrificed a bit of speed for power

is he fuck "made of glass"

4 x 1 month long injuries in the last season and a bit, and not one the result of a bad challenge. All muscle pulls with no-one near him, followed by suddenly sitting down in the middle of the pitch and waiting for the trainer. He was a sally sick note at Hamburg as well. Great player and I love him to bits, but he absolutely is made of glass. Some people's muscles are more cut out for the demands of professional football than others. Jack Rodwell is another. If he sees a coin on the floor, his hamstrings twang at the mere thought of picking it up

And that is the reason that the club got him so cheap, due to him being injury prone. He arguably is the best buy of all time , but his injuries over the last and current season are becoming worrying.

We signed him in 2008, by your own admission he has only had a run if injuries since last season! Are you suggesting that someone at Hamburg had a crystal ball, knew that he would pick up injuries in 3 years time and decided to let us have him on the cheap?

some people just can't help but moan mate. Vinny has had a decent time with us injury wise, he has definitely had a difficult season and a bit, it happens, and has nowt to do with glass

After the CSA game, Pellegrini said all the players were fit including Kompany yet Kompany missed the Chelsea game.

What's the secret City? Is he injured, or short of fitness or what?

It really is scary how much the drop off in defensive quality is when Kompany does not play.
It is

I can't work out who td's best central defenders are. They are all capable, but for City they are all OK as long as Kompany is playing alongside them, but if he isn't hen it all goes to pot.

I thought after the Villa away game, we wont be giving any teams 3 points again, but it doesn't work like that. It's not complacency it's the seeds of doubt, and they are growing. Perhaps Demichelis can sort it out as he is a very experienced player. Or easiest of all Kompany comes back, but I am a bit worried he's out of the picture again. He was supposed to be recovering well and fit in midweek. Has something else happened

Simply put we would not have lost that game today if Vinny had played.

So Vinnie would have stopped Joe running forward for a ball when he should have stayed in his goal mouth? If Joe wants to be an outfield player he should give up the goalkeeper's jersey!!

We can't know for sure, but I don't think hart would have come for the ball had he known Kompany was there to deal with it

That situation is all about communication and confidence in your team mates

No news on the Kompany front that I've seen today - maybe we'll here more in advance of the Newcastle game? I assume there'll be a press conference?
