is it just me or has walker been to the same hairdresser as david silva and had a implants, maybe this is why the dip in form and being out because the treatment involves steroids and drugs ?? anyway the new hairstyle looks neat and sharp
Was shit last season when he still had hair

Don’t like singling players out but genuinely thought he was absolutely dire last night, especially in the first half. He has unfortunately become a liability just like Otamendi. Needs to get his head sorted.
He might just need to get a few games under his belt after being ill.

Had a poor game on Tuesday and certainly needs to improve. Tbf prior to his illness his form was good, so let's hope it was a bad day at the office.

I think he realizes how technically proficient Cancelo is, and is trying a bit too hard at the moment. He needs to stick to his knitting and buckle down in training, not worry about someone else taking his job. He tried a few kick and run overlaps that were ridiculous in Tuesday, and our FBs giving the ball away is deadly in our set up. Mendy is a repeat offender, too!

Walker might end up as another Joe Hart. Highly thought of then quickly falls from grace when sentiment shifts. Already we see and hear the “dropped from the England team” crap, while Southgate takes a look at all his pre-tournament options, so if Cancelo replaces him regularly in the City line up, the knives will be out.

Technically, the weakest ball player in the starting XI....and that includes Ederson, whose passing is far superior to Walker...decision making, too!

Edersons passing is one of the best at the club, so a bit unfair to compare Walker to Ederson.

He was worryingly dog shit on Tuesday night.

The effects of being left out so a bit rusty or the reason why he is being left out?

I agree he just has to stay calm and do his standard job. Everyone and his dog know that he won't be in our squad without his pace and physicality.
As long as he offers pace AND just plays simple error-free plain vanilla football everything is ok.
If he plays sloppy or tries experiments without having the skill he will be wasteless or even a danger - in our high setup!

BUT - Cancelo can't regularly, in terms of fixture pile-up! Therefore he won't be a Joe Hart, who was benched as a 2nd keeper.

As it looks now Kyle has to digest the develpoment of being #2 right back, but he would still get enough matches in a superb team, so what?
If he would accept the new situation (if it WAS like that?) he could concentrate on doing a good job according to his skills.

His pace and athletism are one of the main reasons we sniff out counter-attacks very quickly. He might not be the best attacking fullback in the world but at the end of the day, he is a full-back, not a winger.

To be fair to him he's been a mainstay in the team for the last two seasons which haven't ended too badly.
