It wouldn't really surprise me if Walker leaves to be honest. Because let's face it, now that we're buying Gvardiol, he wouldn't be a regular starter and he probably knows that too. He has won everything with the team, and I absolutely loved the guy, so for me, he's a city legend no matter what.

Again, we are changing formations and full backs are less necessary now. It makes perfect sense and I am fully on board committing to it.

Can't blame him really. The way he nullified Vinicius over the two legs to then be dropped in the final will have been the final nail in the coffin for him. Regardless of the spin he put on it.

Deserves to be playing week in, week out but when Pep settles on a style it's not a case of rotation anymore because the skillset is so specific. There's been comments from Pep saying Walker can't play this new role. Writing has been on the wall for a while it seems.
He can be as pissed off as he wants but he didn't deserve to start that game over Akanji or Ake. They were consistently excellent all season.

When there's a Vinicius or Rashford to play against, he's important. But Pep's selection against Inter was the right one.

Think this is a mad decision by the club. Not only one of the leaders he is still really really good
Sometimes the club doesn't have much choice particularly where a player may be unhappy and only have a year left on his contract.

Big loss. His pace was a massive part of our season... hopefully a solid RB lined up. The list is very slim on solid RBs though

If this is true it better not just be the meet clubs valuation but a meet club valuation +50% extra for dealing with those tax dodging big mouthed entitled ragesq pricks

Wow that’s caught me by suprised. What a brilliant player and still clearly has so much to offer as he proved in his performances over the last few months.

Final year of his contract, 33 year old, what could we get for him?

Between £25m-£40m would be my guess.

I wouldn't take less than £25m.

not really a surprise, sam lee already said months ago walker was part of the unhappy bunch and that he could leave

I think Kyle would have gone anyway at the end of his deal next year. He’s done it all for us so fair enough if he fancies moving on now. Hopefully we get a decent fee.

Surprising but if he wants the move so be it, he’s done his time here and a great signing for us.
More I think about it the more it makes sense. Pep clearly seems to be going the way of a more stable defender at right, with perhaps positional sense and more control, ie Akanji. Essentially 4 CB’s, or 3 and one with Rodri (Stones)

I was gutted at first. But also excited at the prospect of bringing in exciting younger players to replace some of our veterans. I sincerely hope Txiki knows what he is doing.

We will be getting money for a 33yr old who has give us his best years we have akanji and Rico who can play in his position. Times come to an end same with Joe zabba vinny yaya silva aguero. We also cone through trust the club. Oh and best of look Kyle.
