I think even at 33 he has at least 3 good seasons left in him. Pep obviously looking to stick with same system and buy players that fit within in it. Expect he is content with Akanji/Stones and Lewis for the right side and if we picked up Rice and Gvardiol then would be ok with this. Wish him well if true and hope a fresh start gives him what he wants.
Not heard a fee mentioned or if part of a player deal.

We have got to be careful who and how many we lose this summer.

Walker, Bernardo, Mahrez, Gundogan and Laporte all look like they could leave.

3 players, arguably 4, are in our best XI, give or take who you prefer between Mahrez and Bernardo.

Lot of mentality monsters in there, big game game footballer and leadership figures. You can't just go into the market and buy that. Quality can always be replaced but mentality is priceless.

I think we're just committing to 4 centre backs, they would have kept him if he was happy to stay with less minutes but clearly he's not.

Can't blame him really. The way he nullified Vinicius over the two legs to then be dropped in the final will have been the final nail in the coffin for him. Regardless of the spin he put on it.

Deserves to be playing week in, week out but when Pep settles on a style it's not a case of rotation anymore because the skillset is so specific. There's been comments from Pep saying Walker can't play this new role. Writing has been on the wall for a while it seems.
