But I disagree he has another 3 years imo so I would give him a contract to persuade him to stay. Players can play longer these days.

Worth doesn’t have to mean monetary terms for City, it could be appeal, skill or mindset to a club willing to take them off our hands. Moving him on saves wages, yea he’s on a free but we offered an additional year, Walker, Laporte, Bernardo, Riad, Cancelo are costing us money, we could recoup a fair bit and reinvest it in to younger players Pep can make in to superstars.

Worthy of an extension. The guy can sit on the bench chilling all season, but the handful of games where we need his pace are worth the wages. Mbappe and Vinicius both got owned by him this past year. We wouldn't find a replacement that could do the same job.

If I’m honest I did think there’d be a risk with a couple of players given we won the lot. It’s almost like a good time to move on. A lot of players like to have achieved in different leagues nowadays rather than just one club throughout. Bayerns usually a tap it for the league title as well (wasn’t season just gone but usually is!)
