Kyle Walker

I watched a lot of Kounde when we were rumoured to be looking at him a few seasons back. I can't remember a match where he didn't concede a penalty or drop some sort of bollock. Not for me I'm afraid.
For sure he has a clanger in him but so did Stones and Akanji. Koundé wouldn't be my first choice.

The ones that interests me most are Geertruida and St. Juste.

Nobody is under the delusion that Walker is the greatest footballer in world football, and he is 33 years old, so his shelf life is coming to an end, BUT there isn't really anyone in world football who has the pace outrun literally any forward on the planet. The sort of player who allows you to stick everyone in the oppositions half. I think he is irreplaceable.

In today's interview, Pep said the following:

Sounds like Walker's held talks with Bayern & City, & is considering what to do next.

I suppose Walker has an agreement in principle with Bayern, & an offer from City, but he wants to see how pre-season goes & where he fits in before making his final decision.

If he plays & feels he'll play a major part throughout the season, I think he'll opt for City.

However, if as many people (not me) believe that Pep will go with 4 CB's & Stones playing as the forward CB/double pivot, I think that'll make up Kyle's mind for him.

Suppose we'll have to wait & see hey? \0/

His ability to shackle top wingers in CL a games is invaluable. I’d wager Frimpong at Leverkusen is similarly as quick, but not as strong/physical. I think he’d be great as a RWB in our new formation.

The formation doesn’t use them?

1/20 to go to bayern Munich
8/1 to stay at city.
looks like hes gone.
Be an unfortunate way to end his stay - going to them lot.
That said, take a bow lad you've been pretty feckin good for us while you've been here.
Still holding out hope he'll see out his contract and head over the Penines at the end of it, but hey ho

Right time to go for Kyle. I think Pep will now put Lewis in first 11 if he os going to play with right back. If not John will play his role. Ig Gvardiol comes it will be enough to cover.

John and Akanji, 100%. Lewis will have a rotational role this season, similarly to last. There is no way we will rely on him, not yet. I don't think he is a right-back anyway. His future lies in midfield.

Kyle also has unwavering mentality/confidence that hes the quickest there is. Hes not afraid of anyone and its shows in how he relishes a match up

Featured quite heavily in the pre-season social media photos etc, also posted twice on insta about being back at it. Know it doesn’t always mean much, but surely if you were on your way you’d keep low key
That has crossed my mind and it is not the first time Bayern shooting their mouthes off before they even agreed a fee with the selling club.
