Kylian Mbappé | Real Madrid Player (pg620)

I am going to disagree with people a little bit here.

Why exactly is staying at PSG “easier”? His big dream is winning the Champions League. How is it easier to win that in Paris than in Madrid? Madrid has won it countless times and always gets helped by Uefa and the powers that be. Mbappe is choosing to continue to try to win it in a team that’s never won it. He wants to be the face of the PSG team that wins it for the first time. That is a bigger challenge, to have a team built around you in that scenario, than being “another one” who wins it for Madrid. I don’t disagree that the standard of La Liga is higher than Ligue 1, but right now it looks like Madrid is going to dominate it for a couple more seasons, just like PSG.

I’m not denying that money probably did play a big part in all of this, but as for the sporting factors, his head is focused on the Champions League, the World Cup and the Euros far ahead of whatever league he’s playing, I think. And if he wins the Champions League in Paris in the time of this new contract, it will be a big deal and he will be even bigger in French football history.

In a way, Haaland also chose a bigger challenge coming to us than would have been Spain. He could also be the first to take us to Champions League glory, and standard of the league is higher.
Winning the CL is the same difficulty for all the top 6-7 teams. It’s not any more difficult for psg to win it than it is for Liverpool or Madrid. There’s so much quality in all those teams it’s just whose better on their day.

the French league is a large step down to la liga or premier or German league.
Mbappe will be forgotten the same way neymar is irrelevant since leaving barca.
People just don’t care about them anymore.

It's just the same shit you hear from supporters of old money clubs whenever a player chooses to join us.

Disappointing to see on here but not at all surprising.
It's nowhere near the same.

The French league is a given for PSG, along with the domestic trophies. It's simply not a patch, competitively, on the likes of the Premier League.

He's found a comfort zone and a shit load of money, nothing wrong with that but it's fair game to call it as much.

4M/month. 100M signing fee. 3 years with an option of another. He will never move to Madrid now. I can even see him in the PL or maybe Serie A with Milan getting rich. Even Barcelona is possible now. Doubt Perez gonna accept this defeat. No Haaland and no Mbappe. The supporters gonna go crazy on Perez.

Complete madness from psg. To give a player that much power is just farcical not to mention the reported figures. Kinda puts you off football when you see this stuff and how greedy some players are
