£160m for a guy whose started less than 30 league games hahaha football is madness

Im sure we're interested like all top sides will be but there is no way we're paying that for him. I can see Madrid as they will probably recoup that in transfer fees. Rather we get Sanchez tbh.

it really isnt madness....alexis is 11 years older then mbappe and personally already has all the talent and skill that sanchez possesses. alexis is the plan b if we cant get mbappe and that is just a fact. if we waited another 5 or 6 years to get him hes going to be worth double that price. he is much more then just raw talent, and dont use league games as the only barometer of his talent, he was superb in champions league football or did you not watch him blow by our defenders like they were cones in both legs of our tie???
 
In some ways a move to City would make a lot of sense for Mbappe, we've signed two of his Monaco teammates from last season... almost like we're building a team around him already. As has been mentioned, we don't have the same kind of competition as Barca or Real in the attacking positions (although we do have strong forward options). Pep also has experience getting the best out of exceptional young talent eg Messi.

If we were to sign Mbappe, would we still move for Sanchez? Trying to fit one of them in to the current squad is hard enough, putting both of them in there is near impossible!

Regardless of additional signings we've got a hell of a squad this year, hopefully the new signings settle in and we can really challenge in all competitions.

Don't where your getting that Sanchez is plan b hes seems to have been our main target all summer.
 
mbappe is also a statement signing, real and barca do it every few years i dont see why we shouldnt be doing it either

whoever get him will make it back in shirt sales for gods sake
 
Mbappe could score 40 goals next season and his value isn't going to get much higher.

Transfer fees will soon drop off as clubs won't see the value in paying those extortionate fees.

Also, it's all well and good Monaco wanting £130 million for Mbappe but how is keeping him going to recoup them that money?

They've got very little chance of winning the CL and the league when they sell their best players.

Their current model earns them top money and that's why I think talk of £130 million is daft. I wouldn't be surprised to see them sell for £80 million with add ons that could pocket them an additional £30/40 million.

when pep realized he could sign mbappe alexis became plan b....plans change all the time

would you honestly take a 29 year old over an 18 year old that has the potential to give you 10-12 years of similar production he put up at monaco?
