Yeah - I agree it's crazy - but PSG's owners have deep pockets and seem confident that they safely ignore FFP by hook or by crook. On paper it makes no sense - but PSG's owners don't seem to be worried by this - they simply want the CL title.

the problem is mbappe to PSG doesnt mean they will come close to the CL title. If they have to sell players to finance the move they will have to sell players that start, plus the fact that they have multiple positions of weakness. Hell if they do buy him id happily take verrati off their hands for 50 million

It would appear that PSG will pay a level of fee that we won't but it will come down to whether the difference between what we're offering and PSG are offering is enough for Monaco to swallow selling him to PSG. It's one thing if there's a €60m difference its another it if it's only €5-10m.

But the thing is.... PSG are simply ignoring FFP. They'll buy Mbappe - if they can - and won't sell anyone at all unless they think they're getting a good deal. And again, more power to them if they do this.

FFP is stupid - it's simply a restriction that has as its main consequence the effect that no club not currently in the top 10 or so will be likely at all to challenge for the CL title.

Some other sort of restrictions should apply if the goal is to prevent over-spending on the part of a club where it risks financial instability to the point where the club must declare bankruptcy.

Pretty sure that City and Madrid have agree not to up the original asking price. PSG is a risk, i.e. will they bid 60m more? Can they afford to within the FFP rules?
Think they will let the player choose in the end.

There is no evidence of that.
Hmm... bought Neymar which will cost the club nearly €500 million between transfer fee and annual salary... and now pursing Mbappe for an even bigger outlay.

Yeah... I see your point.

PSG are saying Mbappe is nearly impossible because of FFP, that's not ignoring FFP, so far they have spent the same as us and we are still looking for players. You sound like an opposing fan talking about us with no knowledge of their situation.
