If it's not based on fact then it is by definition, any old shite and it goes back to any made up rubbish that comes out of any bodies fingertips being classed as fair comment.

Opinions are just people's interpretation of the facts in hand, my opinion was that PSG have (or are about to) overpay for Mbappe and shoot themselves in the foot in regards to wages etc. I came to this opinion based on what other clubs are doing in the market and careful consideration of what PSG's possible income v expenditure is. It's by no means "fact" and I wouldn't pretend otherwise but please don't be so arrogant as to try and put down what I said as "rubbish"...
All you have "pointed out" is that it's an opinion and not a fact, and labelled my opinion as "any old shite" - well done, but I stand by my opinion because as an intelligent human being I have weighed up the situation and posted my thoughts.

The "old shite" comment wasn't aimed at your post, if it was then I would have called it that in my original reply to you. That came up in reference to what the definition of "fair comment" should be defined as. I don't necessarily agree with what you posted, that happens a hundred times a day on here, but I haven't been offensive in any of my direct replies to your posts.
However I did object to being told what to think or not to think by a third party and said so. If you think I've offended you in any way in my exchange with Chippy Boy then accept my apology, none of that was ever aimed at you or your post.

Fair enough... The reason I presumed your post was about what I said is you (rightly) pointed out that my view on PSG didn't have any "facts" to back it up (which it doesn't) but later on you said "If it's not based on fact then it is by definition, any old shite" - see how that comes across to anyone who has an opinion on anything???

The only problem with that is that I wasn't addressing you, and I didn't call him names. If he objected to what I said or he thought I was rude then he could have said so and I would have dealt with it. I'm sure he doesn't need you to stick up for him.
The appropriate course of action for you would have been to quote his post and state your approval rather than try and educate me as to what I should or shouldn't say to another poster.
