I'd like him to stay but, playing in a winning team rather than a struggling one will be similar to what he would expect with us should he make the grade.Agreed, some champions league football for him as well?
On the backfoot at Sheffield last season didn't really do him any favours although I believe he wanted to stay there rather than loaning to 'a better' team.

There’s definitely a special player in him. Whether that comes out is yet to be seen, but the stars don’t seem to be aligning for him here, sadly.I think you're right and may be good for him. I don't think he'll make it with us tbh. Main reason is he needs a run of games and he won't get that at City. I'd offer Celtic a straight swap with buy back and sell on clauses in the deal.

I trust our current squad + young talents. We have enough guys (Foden,KDB,Bernardo,Gundo,Grealish,Savio,Bobb) who can play F9 in case Haaland gets injured or have a similar player profile. It`s like burning cash in front of your eyes. The cost of the transfer (fee,signing fee,wages) is perhaps around £25m. It could be used for better things (higher wages for Foden/Rodri, first instalment of the next marquee signing, subsidizing fan tickets,travel costs etc).If you did you wouidnt be looking at him. Who would you trust? Me and Pep, or an inbuilt bias against a league? Trust me, he is class.
Even Dzeko on a one year deal would make more sense.

we do but not a the level we cleaned out the u21 and promoted all the u18s . so a step to far for this role i think the understanding isIt's strange we don't seem to have any centre forwards in any of the youth teams either

I have a lot of friends and colleagues that are celtic supporters. They are convinced he has excellent qualities would be great with us. They also noted he does not suit Rodgers' type of football and was far better under Ange, and at our place would be a far better player than his current stats show. They all talk about his movement and intelligence.

inexpensive and is a good finisher. What is not to like?. He had no trouble playing against us in July. As it had been mentioned countless times his age making the step up in the Premier League may count against him, and his injury would have to be considered; however the plus side he isn't going to be our main striker and would accept lesser game time.
Tbf that team he played against was a half baked version of us that still should have beat celtic and while im nt saying he wouldnt be a good pick up i would think wed have better reason than thatinexpensive and is a good finisher. What is not to like?. He had no trouble playing against us in July.
