For me the creeping realisation that the tories are probably going to get in at the next election is really getting me down. David Cameron is such a pudding. And it seems he doesn't have to say or do shit, just quietly wait for Brown to gurgle his way to defeat. I remember Labour getting in in 1997 and that euphoria and hunger for change was immense. I dont believe it will be so when Cameron gets in. It will be an apathetic shrug for a posher, fatter, watery version of Blair. Obama described Cameron as "lightweight" and I couldnt agree more. I would like to see Milliband leading labour. That kid is smart - not just an ex PR man like Cameron. Given a radical new manifesto I could see Milliband wiping out the tories within four years.

I feel your pain with regards to seeing people voting themselves(stealing) money off others, but, truth be told, you, and others like you who rail against socialist scum, are no different. You also support the forceful withdrawal of money etc from the populace. You just want it in different amounts, from different areas and for different reasons.

Yep I think everyone should be forced to pay for a things like a police force and an army incase we're invaded, but there are hundreds of taxes I'm against, and the idea that because you're rich you have to pay a higher percentage of your earnings than a poor person is so totally unfair it beggars belief. So is the fact that if you put your kid through private education you still have to contribute to state education.

I'm interested in your view though - do you think society would be better without police?
