Labour or Conservative?

Nothing funnier than a working class tory

I think a working class tory should be admired actually. Because they are voting for the principle of 'it's unfair to take money off the rich and give it to the poor', rather than thinking 'i'll vote labour because they'll help me out by giving me rich people's money even if I'm lazy'.

you see i'd rather pay more council tax and have more services
call me insane....
but a free read from the library is cheaper thasn waterstones

I know the two parties have had to edge closer and closer together to get more votes, but let's be honest about the general attitudes of each party:

Labour: tax increases
Tory: tax cuts

Labour: lenient on crime
Tory: strict on crime

Labour: more immigration
Tory: less immigration

Labour: pro-gay
Tory: pro-family

Labour: more benefits to poor people paid for by rich people
Tory: less benefits to poor people so rich people don't have to pay as much tax

Labour: doesn't want people to inherit wealth from their dead parents
Tory: happy to let money be passed from dead parents to offspring

Labour: happy for 70% of our laws to be decided by European politicians
Tory: anti-Europe (except Ken Clarke)

I could never admire a tory I'm afraid. Give them 5 mins before they use a phrase such as 'send them home' or 'all gays have Aids' or something equally as witty.

I think this song by McCarthy sums it up

There's something wrong somewhere here
So through unclean streets I made my way
With holes in my shoes and my children asleep at my feet
I paid my way

In every town on the way
The people looked grey the buildings looked healthy
But one day I met a man
With money to spare
He said he would tell me how it is

The State he began
Has been propping up people to long
For far to long
We all got lazy and couldn't be bothered
To make our way through the world

But we are all bourgeois now
Once there was class war
But not any longer
Because baby we are all bourgeois now
So go out and make your way in the world
We're free to choose
We're all free to choose
We're all free to choose
We're free to choose

In Booming Britain we all work together
To raise ourselves in the world
Each of us knows someone
Who has done well for themselves
So well for themselves
"Thank you," I said as I left
I'll be on my way, I see how it is

We are all bourgeois now
And somehow I'll raise myself through the world
I'm free to choose
We're all free to choose
We're all free to choose
I'm free to choose

We're all bourgeois now
We're all bourgeois now
We're bourgeois now

Utter crap. The Labour Party is not pro-gay. It doesn't promote being gay at the expense of families. It promotes equality regardless of sexual orientation. You make it sound like they go round forcing people to be gay and leave their families.

Labour does not want Europe to have that much power over our legislation. In any case, you word it as if Britain has no say in the European Parliament and other EU bodies. We are well represented in the EU Parliament.

Most of the cabinet is homosexual. Although Labour aren't quite as gay as the Lib Dems, who regularly use rent-boys.

Labour are the ones wanting to introduce sex education to 5 year old kids. Sorry but if they try to do that when my kid is 5 I'm taking them out of school. Because knowing Labour and their 'equality regardless of sexual orientation' mentality, they'll have teachers explaining 2 blokes rimming to 5 year olds.

Oh and let's not forget their positive discrimination laws, making it easier for a gay person to get a job (no pun intended) than a straight person.
