Labour / Tory Party meltdown Referendum fallout

Former Minister for Wimmin, Hattie Harmperson. Game girl Harriet (22-42-56) – having lost the Referendum vote – is now busy trying to turf out anti-Establishment terrorist Jeremy Corbyn, in favour of….a woman. Ms Harpoonmen has two pensions: a non-contributory one from Unite, and her Parliamentary final salary jobby. Together, they amount to roughly 27 times the State Pension.

Maybe she should try pre-school then if that is her understanding of global affairs. The USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and dozens of
other countries all impose immigration controls, without brutal authoritarianism, or purges, plus the fact she is pre supposing that everything Brexit
has said won't happen, because, like many others who can't or won't accept the result, she lashes out at it.
Meaningless rhetoric and her 'Guess' is just that.

We're leaving the EU yet we will continue to enjoy all the preferential trade arrangements as if we'd never left, with no contributions and no freedom of movement for EU citizens who wish to come and work in the UK and all our expats will enjoy full EU citizenship and will stay put with no changes whatsoever.

That's the Brexit line, yet she's the one in need of pre-school.

You Brexiters are a scream, you really believe you can have your cake and eat it.

All of us are in the same boat now and we should all want the best deal for the UK possible. So yes, that does mean that our opening negotiating position is having our cake and eating it. What tack would you rather the people brokering took?

Perfect response.

Well, of course the Germans will refuse to sell us any more of their cars unless we agree to take in more Romanian Big Issue sellers.

And you remainers, who by the way are continuing to foot stamp and predict an apocalypse that, to your intense irritation, fails to materialise,
persist in the idea that totally unrestricted immigration is practised in every country in the world.

I see the BBC, rather than saying the FTSE 100 is up since the vote, is now saying it is down 8% in dollar terms. Can't remember them using that yardstick ever before .
.

£ to $
20 May 2016 (randomly selected pre referendum date) 1.4616
04 Jul 2015 1.3091

If this is not of significant concern then well, good for you. This trend is likely to continue and the apocolypse that is failing to materialise is actually unfolding slowly (as predicted) right before us all. The country was never going to go bankrupt overnight, nor indeed will it go bankrupt at all but to suggest that there will not be serious financial implications of this vote in the longterm is just denial.

On the BBC? I suppose I could have been asleep ....

yep, on the BBC, always £ to $, $ to Yen, $ to Euro, and the FTSE
and £ in historic low to $ is a bit more newsworthy the FTSE same as it was, of course we now know why the FTSE bounced back as it seems the govt policies are going to be very favorable to the large FTSE companies

For as long as I can remember, the BBC has always found a reason to sound a note of caution when stock markets are rising. Different reasons, but invariably some reason.

Wriggle all you like, you guys advocated changing the status quo, well you won, it's down to you now to map out how the change you've achieved is going to be better than what we had.

Of course the truth is you don't have a clue...

Never understood that quote, what's the point in having a cake if you can't eat it.

Because the people we're negotiating with know it's a bluff and pretending that because BMW wants to keep selling cars to us means we have a strong hand and we can therefore get everything we want is stupid beyond belief. Most importantly of all, if we get a good deal it might tempt others to follow suit, something the major players in Europe will do everything in their power to discourage. Given this, then anyone with an ounce of common sense realises that whatever deal we scrape together is going to be a great deal more punitive than many here are willing to admit.
