Lack of enthusiasm thread

I think there is a collective depression on here. Either you guys were not around when we were shit, or you actually liked it to be shit. Bluemoon is not a very enjoyable place to visit these days.
 
I’ve just turned Football Focus off and am watching the Hairy Bikers instead.

I’ll watch City.
The rest can eat itself.

I have been around since I was born 60yrs ago, and I much prefer us today at the top. That said City isnt about winning for me it's about my roots my family etc.
But just lately football isnt a sport I really care about much at the moment. The game seems bent, VAR is a bloody nightmare and used to fix games. UEFA and the G14 have been trying to wear us down with made up charges.
The British press/media are so far up liverpool and utd arse its depressing.
I really dont like the way football is going.
A new league season has started without the most important thing, FANS. Fans that have paid fortunes following their teams for years and now just tossed aside to keep the tv money coming in. I understand Clubs need the money coming in.
It might be a new season but it's not the premier league is it ? It's a round Robin of training matches, not what I signed up to all those years ago.
I have never felt so isolated from football, I cant go to matches. I don't have sky or BT and on the matches I can get its normally ex dippers or rags as bloody commentary or pundits.
I have spoken to a few of my mates of other clubs and most feel the same , it's not football without fans. My mates are also feed up with the dippers and utd press/media lovein.
I can see the money in football crashing as the press/media are putting all the eggs into covering just two teams and other fans will/ have started to stop paying for it.
 
Sorry to be a net spend wanker, but we've barely spent a penny this summer and we need a centre half.

Have to say I agree with you about the lack of genuine quality signings in key areas of need ... if we only win the Carabou Cup again, or even worse, nothing at all ....then Pep might not get a choice to renew, even if he wants to!

Expectation is high. Just one League Cup after the clean sweep domestically was a big disappointment for me. One more season of that and he could be gone.
