in terms of on the pitch though, they're not clear favourites.
If FIFA want to prevent riots on the other hand, then yes, the other 31 nations might as well not bother going.

I still would have them as slight Favs tbh,only just though
Although i prefer the Argies at 5/1 & even an outside bet on France at 25/1...

I'm looking forward to this one, like someone else said, not just because England are in it. I think Brazil will be a good host country, I didn't enjoy the last world cup, I only watched it on the tele but the atmosphere in South Africa felt flat and them vuvuwhatevers were annoying.

Think some of the top teams will be looking to play within themselves in the early stages particularly those in easier groups/humid venues so those matches may not make for great viewing.
Things will move up a gear when straight knockout phase begins.
City having a good representation of current/past/potential players spread over a large number of teams will help the interest in games not involving England.
Shame no other British Isles team qualified. Loved watching Scotland/Irish teams in past.

Im really looking forward to it, more so because im realistic that England have no chance really and I have no expectations. Some cracking groups and early games and I would love a Brazil v Argies final. 93rd minute goal in the final for Kun to win it and collect the golden boot and ill be cashing in.

If his team tonight is anything to go by then Welbeck is gonna start which will be a travesty. Roy has to be bold as we have to win that first game or at like you say go out at least trying to win games. I have that feeling we will be involved in 3 boring games where we maybe draw 2 and lose the other and go out.
