Lack of excitement for the World Cup?

The aussies at work seem more excited about it than us poms. The fact they won't win a single game doesn't dampen their enthusiasm bless em.

If you watched the passion of the Brazilians in the Confederations Cup final last year you would be fucking barmy not to be excited for this World Cup. The national anthem was something to behold, truly hair raising! Goals met with bedlam! and that was an exhibition tournament that meant nothing.

Amazing...AMAZING! Imagine the World Cup!!

And pick a favourite... You can't! There are genuinely four teams who have a shout at winning it, Spain Brazil Argentina Germany...plus teams like Belgium Portugal Côted'Ivoire and even England with no expectations and a younger squad. It's going to be brilliant!

If you're just the usual bitter bandwagoner when it comes to International football, then fair enough, you won't enjoy it and please don't come on here telling everyone how you hate International football over and over again - you're fucking boring!

But I can't wait for the World Cup. WCs are fantastic!

I'm absolutely buzzing - will be in Rio for the first two weeks when it starts and got tickets to all the group games at the Maracana.

Couldn't care less about England but for me the World Cup is still the pinnacle despite what others on here are saying.

New fixtures will be out soon after it starts, can't wait for those. :-)

Then the wait for telly to move lots of them about ;-)

The excitement is growing day by day, after which we will return to training and pre season friendlies, of course supplemented by transfers etc etc. Don't need the world cup. :-)

Found a good site the other day for all football on TV in the UK.
