Lampard To City On Loan

Almost everything I seem to have read about this in the press and on-line keeps saying that NYCFC are owned by Manchester City FC.

Isn't this wrong?

Aren't NYCFC, Melbourne, and us simply all owned by the same company (City Football Group) and MCFC as a club don't actually have any ownership of the other teams?

Either I've got this completely wrong, or 90% of the press/bloggers/football web-sites can't be arsed to find out the real situation....

You are indeed correct.

Lampard will 100% be doing something dodgy there, why wouldn't he be? He loves Chelsea and is completely neutral towards City.

Anyway, been thinking this. There is absolutely no-way that Frank Lampard will NOT be sending Terry text messages with MCFC tactics.

de niro needs to sign this lad up as a pre-season loan as he would be a decent utility player for the conspiracy squad.

Only joking, our kid. He sounds fucking wacko.

Seriously, I am liking the look of this CFG set-up, the more I see of it. A very clever side-step around Platini that I cannot see being regulated in the way that some of our more paranoid posters seem to think. Lampard, Villa, Xavi, Messi [?]. Could get funnier as time goes on. Well done to the ADUG and associates. A genius business move, in my humble view.

It's a great idea, but I don't think we'll push it as far as you suggest. If Melbourne City bought Messi for £250m and loaned him to us, there would be absolute outrage in Europe.

While there is no rule currently saying this is forbidden, you can bet that if we tried it, UEFA would do everything to stop it from happening.

I would not be in the least bit surprised if next season the FFP rules are tweaked to include a section on "partner / sister clubs". It's never really been done before, so UEFA will have to invent new rules to stop us.

I'm not one of these media agenda conspiracy believers, but when it comes to FFP, I am adamant that the whole thing was cooked up to protect the G14, and prevent clubs like us breaking up their cartel. I've seen nothing in the last 3 years to alter that view. If we find ways around FFP, I just think they'll keep on inventing new rules to try and stop us.

Always said Lampard is better than Gerrard.

That goes without saying. Stevie GBH is a fraud, why did Rafa play him out wide? because he's not disciplined enough to be a central midfielder, Henderson carried him last season.

A great deal for all involved, Frank gets to stay at the peak physical condition ready for matches and will help us a lot.
The clubs obviously have no bottlenecks/issues since we own them :-)

Even when he came on in the world cup you saw how he gave substance to the midfield. Something starfish never did.
As Kun said, he has no discipline and Lampard gave the point sharp relief.

I would be miffed if he was done but he easily has a lot to give at the top still.

It would involve some of the most blatant , bare - faced , retrospective legislation ever seen ,and would surely leave no court in Europe in doubt as to whom the real targets of FFP are.

MCFC directly own the majority of shares in NYCFC

You are bang on the money without a doubt.
However if they keep inventing new rules specifically to stop us their little game will become obvious and transparent very quickly. We will then be in a much stronger position to mount a legal challenge against FFP.
They may slow us down but ultimately they can't stop us. I think the penny is just starting to drop...

Can't argue with that article on the official site. However I am now confused about where the City Football Group ( the holding company) fits in.
