Lampard To City On Loan

Just seen the interview on the OSnand I'm actually pretty excited that he'll be part of the squad for the next 6 months. Might be getting on a bit, but the guy has undoubted premier league/ champs league quality and pedigree, which could be vital. Also just comes across as a genuine bloke who seems quite keen to get involved in the club as much as he can.

Almost everything I seem to have read about this in the press and on-line keeps saying that NYCFC are owned by Manchester City FC.

Isn't this wrong?

Aren't NYCFC, Melbourne, and us simply all owned by the same company (City Football Group) and MCFC as a club don't actually have any ownership of the other teams?

Either I've got this completely wrong, or 90% of the press/bloggers/football web-sites can't be arsed to find out the real situation....

MCFC directly own the majority of shares in NYCFC

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/club-news/2013/may/club-announcement-new-york-city-fc-to-launch-21-may" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/news/club-news/20 ... nch-21-may</a>

Can't argue with that article on the official site. However I am now confused about where the City Football Group ( the holding company) fits in.

It's not too clear at the moment, but once CFG files it first accounts and annual returns at Companies House, we'll have a clear picture of the group structure

Like lampard as a player, and think he will help us

Really uncomfortable about the whole situation tho.

He's not our player, but we pay all his wages and he comes to us at our convenience?

Sorry - it stinks, And is a really bad development for football (as opposed to our club)

I would agree with you Pingu except we have been left with next to no choice other than to develop a business model completely different from .all the rest. We had to create a new business model to escape the tyranny of Platini and gill etc and their ffpr. No way should a billion pound investment Into east Manchester be viewed as negative...only in the warped world of old order G14...and its babbling mouthpiece old mother Arsene.. No choice and I don't blame the sheikh...why should he have his investment hamstrung. ...
