This is a simple case of media arithmetic speculation . Lampard joins sister club NYCFC + he is currently available = Possibility of joining us on loan.

Personally I don't see the point of this. There is the homegrown quota issue but I don't think we are that desperate and Lampard for one will only disrupt the midfield set up internally in terms of unnecessarily competing for places against our players and externally with all the media attention and stories this deal will generate.

We have distinguished ourselves this transfer window by staying out of the media foolishness and nonsense that is going on with the other clubs. We have handled our business objectively and quietly as is the ideal way. This Lampard thing will bring unnecessary distraction and I don't see the need for it.

He is a great player but his time at the top has passed so he should just chill in New York and have a nice and befitting twilight.

Milner wouldn't play central attacking midfield, and the 'youngster' you would put on for the game we need a goal would be?

We didn't put a left back on in the everton game to get a goal. We did it to shore up the defence.

Milner can play as an attacking midfielder. I would rather iheanacho came on to get a goal then lampard, if we're putting lampard on to get a goal we are in trouble.

Yaya might be going African cup of nations and we play Chelsea in January

I'm hoping Lampard can put sentiment aside and do a job for us.

I believe he's 'asked' not to play against Chelsea

Fair play to you, fella. You called that one right. He's rolled back the years, big time. He must be loving it, too, playing these big games and getting goals, at the end of his career. I bet he'd love a trophy with us before going off to america.
