Lancashire CCC

Congratulations to all made up for everybody at the club, must admit that going into today I thought warwickshire would win it but it just shows you can never say never.
Been a great year city FA cup and now this brilliant.

been following the chase closely since getting back off holiday

had given up several times thinking they'd blown it

was really despondent on Monday night, suicidal on Tuesday then buoyant later
yesterday seemed great but this morning............................

had the bbc updates on my computer all day
had to set off for home at 3.45 but couldn't get radio lancy on in the car for over an hour
listened to till they needed just nine runs, thought i was going to miss getting home to watch them hit the winning runs
legged it into the house made son switch the tv over to see crofty hit the four then only two needed

WELL DONE LANCS, it's been a long wait

Tremendous! Rushed home from work so I could catch the final stages of something I thought I'd never see in my lifetime.

We all know there are plenty of occasions this season that we thought our chance had gone but there were plenty of twists in this last round of matches too. If we'd left it a few overs longer to take those last 2 Somerset wickets then we'd have faced a near-impossible run chase. Proper nick of time job. Just like it was on Saturday when we took that last Hampshire wicket with 3 minutes to spare.

And speaking of Hampshire, fair play to them today. Flat pitch or not, to hold put for so long after being relegated the day before was more than many of us could've asked for.

I also think playing our home games away from Old Trafford was a huge factor. Not just because the out grounds have produced wickets that all too often give a result one way or the other but also because of the weather. There's been many a time over the past few months that I've been sat at work in Trafford Park with it pissing down outside, yet they've been playing over in Liverpool.

We would never of won this title playing at old trafford this season.

Just done a 14 1/2 hour day with no media at all.

Got home cracked a beer and read the thread from pg 144.

Tension at it's best.

Well done Lancs. The sands of power are changing. No Old Trafford no title. Maybe we should stay at Blackpool forever the wickets seemed to suit us there.
