Lap of honour

How about 4/5th of a lap during which a couple of the lads jog in the opposite to everyone else. Everyone watching can alternately applaud and remain silent during yet another secular liturgical program. Naturally some ear-bleeding noise can by blasted-out without which no experience of ear-bleeding noise is experienced.

At a number of stages this season I was reminded of the trophy-less season two seasons ago when I stayed behind at the end of match to clap the lads during their lap of honour. I stayed behind because it aint all about winning trophys. However, it took ages for the players to come back on the pitch because we were waiting for the WAGS and kids to get down to the tunnel. Then all we get in return is a fucking banner saying thanks whilst the players stroll around in their flip flops with their families in tow. So I vowed never again.

This season I want to stay behind because we will atleast finish top three but the players best get back on the pitch fast otherwise I'm fucking off for a pint.

What is everyone else doing?

A very good reason to stay, but I don't think it will be presented on that day. It gets presented at a later point I believe.

I always stay, but what was the year they fucked about giving a car away at the end? In my head it was after getting beat by Fulham 3-2 in 2008 but it might have been more recent than that, if it was it was after the Bolton 1-0 Glauber Berti game in 2009.

It took them that long to mess about setting things up, there couldn't of been more than 10,000 left in the ground by the time they "gave" the car away (which i think was fixed) & the team came out, but it was probably less.

Shit, I forgot all about that. I can't help you, but am I right in thinking it was parked up by side of pitch by the entrance used under Colin Bell stand for ground staff, etc? I'm sure it was parked up before the match and then after the match.

According to the OS, Sergio will get his Golden Boot award on Sunday after the game should, barring a miracle from Kane, he win it.

Same article says that the players will do a lap of appreciation and both Pellegrini and Kompany will address the crowd
