The Pies had a bit behind the goal (you can see where the black segregation strip with a line of stewards is in the corner) and a bit more of the top tier, and we had the rest of the stadium.

Ten years on and we wouldn’t be able to do that. We don’t even sell out our own half anymore. Utterly bizarre what’s happened to our fanbase.

Think if most northern clubs clubs who had been there more than 20 times in 11 years would have the same issue.
But doubt if any ever have.

Yeah I was in with the pie munchers that day. Fucking awful. Thought I'd never feel as low as the Owen goal at the swamp but this beat it. Whole day was a write off. Everyone battered, loads coked up early doors in the Green Man and news of Mancini having been sacked. Not the special day I was hoping for.

Loads of Wigan got stung with spare tickets they couldn’t get rid of aswell. I think they could buy pretty much as many as they liked and loads bought spares, thinking they’d be able to make a killing flogging them to City fans. We got mithered off them in pretty much every pub we went in asking if we were looking for tickets. But we got enough that just about anyone who wanted one could get one easy enough anyway, so they were left out of pocket.

What about the ECWC semi-final away leg Vs Chelsea in 1971.
I went to that game in a mates Dads van (along with Doddy from this forum) but I can't remember for the life of me if there was a big City following at that game .

Mind you, my mum and dad paid for me to travel to Copenhagen to see the QF replay v Gornik 2 weeks earlier. I drank enough there for the 2 matches.

On a serious note....they have no idea how many blues are at Stockport County aways as turnstile blokes were taking cash and blues climbing over wall.
