I'm going to Las Vegas in Feb for the first time and looking for some hints/tips about where to go, what to see & do etc?

Ive already booked a trip for the Grand Canyon, but what else?

Probably a once in lifetime trip so want to do everything, no expense spared!! (To a certain degree lol!)

I go on business every year in March. take the Mrs to the Bellagio after dark and buy her a cocktail in the Fontana Bar. it's expensive but you can walk out onto the terrace and see the sound and light show from the fountains out front. Fabulous. the circe de soleil shows are also great. have a wander round the hotels, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand (with it's own lions) and take her for a gondola ride in the Venetian.

I've been 7 times love the place. So much to do and see I've never been Gran Canyon tho not my sort ov shit. Go Bills Casino and watch Big Elvis he's fantastic also the beer in their is dirt cheap :) if u want cheap bars you've got Slots for fun @ Circus Circus. The C bar at Stratosphere from 5-9 all u can drink $20. There's 1 called casino royale but can't remember where exactly that was. Make sure u walk around the Wynn hotel wow it smart.

Been 3 times to vegas & always go in bills bar cheap as chips..big singalong to viva las vegas from the fat fella.

Coronas in a big barrel of ice as you go in for $3 was paying $8 in caesars where we stayed until we found this bar

Good location also just right opposite caesars,didnt rate the stratosphere it was a shithole and just out of the way at the bottom of the strip

Must admit though 2nd & third time of going we just bought cases of beer from the little supermarkets & took them back to our hotel & pool..no one gave a shit.

Fucking hated it.

Full of loud people all being extra loud as they were in Vegas which therefore made it ok to whoop all the time. It's all fake, everything, was out of there in 1 day.

Prefer the Canyons, not just the Grand (which has a fantastic viewing platform, the skywalk) but also the Highland Range, Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, Mount Charleston etc etc.

Fantastic natural beauty compared to the hideous monstrocity that is Vegas.

i thought it was just me...it typifies everything i dislike about america, big and loud, pretentious and vulgar...give me america's natural beauty anyday

I stay clear of casinos, huge restaurants, huge hotels where ever i go in the world.

So you decided to visit Vegas. OK.

I hate places where people run around pretending to be having fun. Saw a lot of that.

Maybe they were actually, shock horror, having fun??

Only been once but it's easily the best week of my life, absolutely amazing place.

Vegas is cool for 3 days max, imo.

Been out there a few times, always enjoyed the boxing trips the most.

If you are desperate to kill a few hours, Spearmint Rhino is quite relaxing.....

There's 1 called casino royale but can't remember where exactly that was.

Its right beside McDonalds on the corner. $2 a drink, cheapest i seen when out there. Bit of a shithole tho, lost $300 in there on my first night out.
