it involve of course beatles music with there incredible show.

me and 8 other hair asred salfordians went and everyone thought it was the best thing we`d done including the brass house.

also saw glady`s knight show which was excellent.

going to the rifle range and firing machine guns pistols and rifles is an experience unless you come from cheetham hill, moss side. ordsal, or lower broughton.

we stayed in the bellagio the restaurants were expensive but fantastic.

I'm going to Las Vegas in Feb for the first time and looking for some hints/tips about where to go, what to see & do etc?

Ive already booked a trip for the Grand Canyon, but what else?

Probably a once in lifetime trip so want to do everything, no expense spared!! (To a certain degree lol!)

Cannot foooookin wait!!!!!!

a guy I did some work with owns and manages a sky-diving simulator out there; it's pretty near the Hilton Hotel where Elvis has his statue just off the strip.

if you want to give that a go - providing you've never dislocated your shoulder, PM me and I'll pass on his details and mine; sometimes he has offered to fly my friends for free

(but I've not spoken to him in a few years now, not that this should matter - he's a solid guy)

Was on a back packing thingy around America. So...you go to Vegas because even though you have seen the images and know what is there you don't know what it's actually like until you visit.

Have no intention of going back there, ever but as i said, the outstanding natural beauty of the area surrounding it is breathtaking and i have been back a few times since.

Have also been to Disneyland for the same reasons and hated every fucking fake fun to be had minute.

my thoughts exactly... ehehe

I've been in Vegas more times than I can remember and used to hate every minute of it (I don't gamble - that's for mugs; I play backgammon and poker for money, which is different) and found it insanely boring until I started to appreciate the food and other 'attractions' it had going for it.

it's still a monstrous carbuncle but so what?

it's iconic America.

from 'Ace' Rothstein (from the book and film 'Casino' - Nic Pileggi)

For guys like me, Las Vegas washes
away your sins. It's a morality car
wash. It does for us what Lourdes
does for humpbacks and cripples.
And, along with making us legit...

...comes cash. Tons of it. I mean,
what do you think we're doing out
here in the middle of the desert?
It's all this money. This is the end
result of all the bright lights and
the comped trips, of all the champagne
and free hotel suites, and all the
broads and all the booze. It's all
been arranged just for us to get
your money. That's the truth about
Las Vegas.

and here it is:-

I can strongly recommend calling in Delmonico's in the Venetian for a steak!

it's probably hard to go wrong for food in Las Vegas, whether it's the subsidised all you can eat buffets (at ridiculously cheap prices) or the restaurants with twenty quid + appetisers; although the best steak I ever had I must admit was in Paris... no self-respecting French chef is going to cook a filet mignon 'well done' - they'll refuse to serve you (which happened to my ex-father-in-law when he was at the Hotel Negresco)
