Last Film You Saw

I liked 7 okay even if it was derivative, not 1-3 (especially 2). I always liked 4 best because it was original, messy and off-the-cuff. As soon as they slipped into "sci-fi talk" the whole franchise went downhill. Never quite saw 5 as being as good as 4. Liked 6 a lot up til the goddamn Ewoks.

Yeah the Ewoks are a bit shit.

I felt Return of the Jedi was a money making exercise.

New Hope is great, I must have seen it over a 100 times as a kid.

The only decent one, in my opinion, since the 80’s is Rogue One, which is a great film.

Rogue One is easily the best of the new Disney era.

I really hope this new trilogy that Rian Johnson is good, but my expectations have been dampened by the fact that The Last Jedi.

Talk about milking something for all (indeed, more) that it's worth.

Jojo Rabbit

A brilliantly made film, great acting all round, not one weak link. Shows a fresh perspective on some of the stupidity a world war demands.

Consider it a comedy drama, that cocktail you once tried and loved which had ingredients you never considered complimenting each other before. Very well balanced!

The comedy element is most prominent if only to help mellow the very sharp reality.
