The Raid - immense action scenes
"Epic"?ifiwasarichfan said:A really silly thing to do as I had to be up for 6:30 for work but late last night and for the umpteeth time I treated myself to "Independence Day". As a rule; I hate sci- fi and I hate so called "Blockbusters" but I always somehow find time for this movie.
I love the bit with Jeff Goldblum and the can of Coke and Bill Pullman's epic "Henry V" speech. Great movie.

Hanks is excellent as he plays a deluded fantasist bullshitting to people at the bus stop but that's the problem. It's just all so unbelievable that what could have been a sad ending elicits no real emotion from the viewer.

I used to know a guy who would make little claims to fame like Gump did with inventing Elvis' dance and personally witnessing Watergate. Some people are just born bullshitters. Whether that's through innocent delusion or something more sinister is up to the viewer I suppose.
