Last Film You Saw

Where’s That Fire a Will Hay film, just discovered them on you tube most of his films in full, classic comedy I grew up on the TV in the 70s. Love it and I think I’ve met a few of those characters in the job!

Watched that new one on Netflix last night with Eddie Murphy and Jonah hill. Not sure what message they were trying to get through but it was very poor and tried to hard to be edgy.

Love Eddie Murphy but that film didn’t suit him.
We watched 19 minutes, that was enough for us.

Goodbye Christopher Robin.

A good film but you'd probably have to have some sort of interest in AA Milne or Winnie the Pooh! My Mum was a huge fan of AA Milne, mostly his poetry, and I didn't know much about him. Quite a stark reality in comparison to the books. Christopher was essentially just a boy who loved to play in the woods and created this world with his Dad who put it into a book. He then spent his childhood as a "star" who saw everyone else take pleasure from this world he created, whilst he missed out on it. I'd say it's a father and son relationship tale - a son's desire to play with his Dad and his Dad's inability to value his wellbeing. But actually, the film makes it clear the Mum was a fucking devil and probably the reason that relationship was never as strong as it should or could have been.

Overall I'd give it 7/10.

Passengers - Jennifer Lawrence is FAF, the premise interesting, the film visually impressive, but it's just fucking dull...and the end bolted on. 4.5/10

The DaVinci Code, first time I've seen it since watching it in the Cinema. Really really enjoyed that, love historical, mystery, code/problem solving films. It's like National Treasure for adults (meaning no disrespect to the National Treasure films, which I also love).
